Cabinet cut list
Enter the finished size of a cabinet to get a panel cut list, edging length and door sizes. Print it or take it to the saw.
How we work it out
- Sides run the full height. The bottom, top or rails, and shelves fit between the sides.
- With a 3 mm fixed-on back, the panels are 3 mm shallower than the finished depth. With an inset back, the bottom, top and shelves are shortened by the board thickness.
- Shelves are 2 mm narrower than the opening and set back 20 mm from the front.
- Doors are full overlay, with the gap you enter around the outside and between pairs.
- Edging covers the front edges of the carcass and all four edges of each door.
Before you cut
- Check the sizes against your drawings. This list does not allow for scribes, fillers, end panels or kickboards.
- Allow for saw kerf and edge trimming when you plan your sheets.
- Board area is the net area of the parts, not the number of sheets.
